What is Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST)?

Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a gentle, manual therapy / assisted stretching technique that focuses on releasing fascia. FST addresses a variety of issues relating to immobility and chronic pain.  Through fluid waves of movement at multiple angles, inflexible fascia is treated at its deepest level - the joint capsule  As the muscles surrounding the joints relax, the waves of movement stretch the tissues and fibres, and the fascia is released.  As a result, the fascia becomes more pliable and hydrated, thus increasing range of motion, muscle strength and flexibility.  FST also trains the brain and nervous system.

During an FST treatment session, the client wears comfortable, non-confining clothing. Treatment is performed on a massage table, and incorporates using soft, comfortable, stabilization straps. Utilizing these straps facilitates relaxation and enhances the effectiveness of the treatment.  FST is virtually pain-free and extremely relaxing.

FST is an adjunct holistic treatment, and works in conjunction with massage therapy, osteopathy, physiotherapy, and/or chiropractic treatments.
